What is your area of specialty?

My research interests include community literacies, multimodal and writing composition pedagogies, feminist praxis, digital rhetorics, creative writing and making comics, and space and place studies.

What are you proud of related to your role as a lecturer?

I chair the LEO/GLAM Mutual Aid Committee. Mutual aid is when people meet each others’ basic needs through a philosophy of solidarity, not charity. We accept monetary and non-monetary mutual aid requests or offers, co-host events with the SPACE and Social Committees, and would love to have members participate in ways that make sense to them. What is something you are proud of outside your role as a lecturer?

My friends and I organize Ypsilanti's zine festival, Zine Jamboree. It's a fun way to build and tap into regional art communities, meet incredible artists, and sometimes rope students into the fun. Follow us @zinejamboree on Instagram!

Fun Fact: What is something people might not know about you?

A couple of years ago, I biked from Pittsburgh to Washington DC on the GAP/C&O Towpath trails!
