Interview: WCAT Is Looking To Hold Lansing Politicos Accountable, Chris Savage, A2Politico: With the Occupy movement now in its third month and Republicans seeing pushback at the polls during the election in early November, grassroots organizing around the “We are the 99%” theme seems to be picking up inertia, at least in terms of public awareness. But encampments in cities around the country and large protests in major metropolitan areas aren’t enough to create change in and of themselves. Real change, in many cases, starts at the local level, by getting individuals and organizations to become aware of the problems we face and then to act on them . . .
