Bargaining in June
Friday, 25 June 2010 01:00

LEO and the administration bargained all day Thursday June 17 and Friday June 18.  On Thursday, the bargaining extended until after 8:00 pm.   Progress was made on the non-financial issues, but the sides remain significantly apart on the pay and benefits. There were promising discussions on a different way of protecting part-time lecturers from the drastic increase in cost of benefits.

Due to illness of family members, vacations, and conference travel, the teams will be bargaining sporadically for the next several weeks. Confirmed dates are Wednesday June 30, Tuesday July 6, and early in the week of July 19th, if needed. It is assumed that bargaining will take place in the usual space at the School of Social Work; LEO members will be notified of any change in venue via email and this web site.

As always, the union urges members to attend all or part of any bargaining session.
