Bargaining date added
Thursday, 03 June 2010 21:10

Today (Thursday, June 3) the LEO and management bargaining teams met after a two week break. Both sides presented something called a "package", where multiple Articles are bundled together. The idea is that there are trade-offs imbedded in the package, with each side making some concessions as a route to a compromise agreement.

Some movement was evident, and the two sides decided to meet again tomorrow (Friday June 4), to further discuss the packages. The packages include a variety of items: salary, benefits, professional development, sick pay, senior lecturers, performance evaluations, no strike, plus a few more.

LEO members -- to support your bargaining team or see how the process works, come to this added bargaining session. You will also be able to participate in decisions about the union's next step.
