Union Council says goodbye to Steve Wandmacher at French Laundry June 2012

LEO Union Council and organizers say goodbye for now to Stevens Wandmacher, outgoing Flint LEO Chair, at a lunch in his honor in Fenton, June 14, 2012.

Stevens Wandmacher, who has been LEO Chairperson of the Flint campus since 2010, retires from his position at the end of June. The LEO Union Council formally thanked Stevens for his outstanding service to union members at the June UC meeting.

As Chair, Stevens worked tirelessly on resolving member problems and grievances on the Flint campus. Perhaps his greatest accomplishment was a settlement reached with the School of Education regarding missed performance reviews for Lecturers. As a result, 15 Lecturers got those missing reviews, their earned raises, plus professional development monies. Stevens also served on the 2010 Bargaining Team, representing the interests of the Flint Lecturers.
