Collective Bargaining Agreement

The union's first Collective Bargaining Agreement was ratified by the membership in June 2004, and has gone into effect. The full text is available below in two versions -- as a hypertext for easy browsing online and as a pdf file for downloading.

In 2007, LEO negotiated a new collective bargaining agreement with the UM administration, which was ratified by the LEO membership in September 2007.  The 2007 agreements are now under-going final proof-reading and merging with the unchanged articles of the 2004 agreement.  The merged text will be published here as soon as it is available.

Memoranda of Understanding 2007-2008

In November 2007, LEO negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding with the UM that will extend employee benefits following birth, adoption or foster placement of a child. This is now part of the LEO-UM contract.

In December 2007, the parties signed an MoU regarding the Implementation of the new contract.

In February 2008, the parties signed an MoU revising Article XIV.

To date, a final comprehensive text of the 2007 contract is not available. When it is, it will be here!
